"Son! What have you been doing to My Bride?"
Those words reverberated in spirit as I rolled onto the floor and began weeping uncontrollably.
In an instant I could see what my actions had been as a pastor toward anothers mans wife and bride. Thats how I perceived it. The Church is the bride of Christ. Would I have handled another kings wife and bride the same way?
I honestly with all my heart wanted to see the Church, the Bride of Christ grow and reach her full potential.
Basically, what I had been doing ministry with a display more of who I was and less of Who He IS.
It was a water-shed event in my life and ministry and left me destitute in my heart and soul for some time after that.
But that is what the Lord needed to begin 'correcting' my ministerial paradigm and to begin working His will and purpose into my heart.
Since then I still operate in the grace-gifts of God and the manifestations of the Spirit as He wills, teaching and preaching and mentoring and equipping the Body of Christ internationally, but with a new insight into Who I represent, How I represent Him, and definitely Why I represent Him.
Always very sensitive to make sure I woo His woman to her only Lover, Christ Jesus Himself, Who died and shed His blood for her to redeem her and purchase her for Himself. (2Cor 11:2)
My wife and I began ministry some 30 years ago as youth ministers in a growing, exciting church. We spoke at youth events, camps, high schools and worked with a team building a youth group.
We also participated in childrens ministry and spoke at many childrens camps and taught children workers.
Our first church we planted in Cape Town, moved back to Johannesburg for 2 years and then returned to plant the second church. This work we pastored for 15 years. During this time we transitioned into cell groups and travelled teaching leadership principles and cell transition. An outdoor ministry to men and couples became an exciting part of what we did for some time, taking small groups camping, kayaking and 4x4 ing, all the while building the inner man with a Kingdom world-view.
In 07 we travelled to the USA to fill the function of leadership mentor trainers under the umbrella of an international ministry.
Our ministry has seen 'moves' of God; leadership training; transitions;
mentoring of leaders; lecturing; pastoring; travelling; discipleship and preaching.
Michelle and I adhere to the basic statement of faith as accepted by most charismatic Bible believing, Jesus Christ worshipping, blood-washed, born-again, disciple-making, Holy spirit-filled, loving-one-another, saints of the Heavenly Father organisations.
I accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart in 1978 in a guard-tower while doing guard duty in the South African military. The Lord immediately challenged me with Matt 28:19-20 Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations ... teaching them to obey all that I have taught you.
This has been the passion and motivation of my heart since then.
My wife and I met in 79 and married in 82 and have never been apart since then. Soon after meeting her I received the baptism in the Holy Ghost and joined a church that taught us the Word which gave us a great foundation to attending the Rhema Bible Training Center in Johannesburg South Africa in 81.
