Personal Strategic Planning Part 2

Hi
This is Shaun, again.
I thought it would be really cool to send you some more tips on personal leadership strategic planning.
When I first started doing strategic workshops
for personal leadership planning, the first one I did was in my lounge in Florida USA. A group of neighbours gathered in our home on Saturday morning, sitting in front of trestle tables that we had borrowed.

Fired up with my recent experiences, armed with research, and dressed with the journeys of many, many couples, parents, individuals, and leaders I had spent hundreds of hours with over coffee tables and in lounges over the years. I was ready to start assisting people win at life, excel at their God-given potential, and make a difference in their worlds, by facilitating their journey with the significant keys of strategic planning.

I remember one participant that sat with me in my kitchen afterwards, looking at his manual and strategic plan that he had designed that morning, with tears in his eyes, saying: “Thank you for saving my marriage today”. Of course, he actually had saved his own marriage by focusing on the things that needed to be done, by writing down the action steps and the priorities that needed attention. But, I did understand what a powerful breakthrough he had experienced in the workshop that I had facilitated.

If you are not taking the leadership of your life, then someone or something else will.

As I stated in the last e-mail, there are certain elements that are necessary to design your personal strategic plan. To add to the list from last week some of these will be a journey of discovery that will keep you focused, refreshed, inspired and passionate.

We know that knowing who you are is an important element.
But, did you know that knowing what you are defines your purpose, and will measure your influence. We start with knowing your belief system, but we have to include how you see your life influencing your world, what roles that will take.

Another vital element is being able to hear the voice of your inner man.
Your inner man, or the voice of your conscience, will be the most reliable source of direction, guidance, and knowing, for the leadership in your life. Right there, is the compass which puts your map of your strategic planning into perspective.

In conclusion I encourage you to enjoy the journey of your purpose today.

Until next time
Blessings
Shaun
